WordPrompt: Green

I came across this WP challenge just earlier this week from an email newsletter and I can’t believe I missed out from the start of it but hopefully I’ve not joined in too late. It’s been a while since I took part in any blog challenges or linkys but can’t wait to get started again.

My blog’s taken a little bit of a backseat since I started working full time – it’s been difficult juggling everything and there’s only so much one person can take right? Nevertheless, I am proud to share with you my contribution to this month’s #WordPrompt.

(Q) What is the perfect pizza?

(A) I rarely have pizza however when I do, I like a nice medley of veg on there and less meat. My dough has to be ultra-thin, cheese and tomato base, toppings: sweetcorn, mushroom, mixed bell peppers, chicken breast and jalapenos.

(Q) What is your favorite time of day?

(A) I think late afternoon is my favourite time of the day – it’s when the kids have their nap so nice and quiet. I also sneak in a catnap for myself too.

(Q) Show us two of your favorites photographs? The photos can be from anytime in your life span. Explain why they are your favorite. Continue reading “Share Your World: Week 29”

Weekly Photo Challenge: Details

In response to The Daily Post WPC: Details

These photos were taken from our trip last year to Legoland for LO’s birthday. These were the legos of London – we also saw France, Germany and the United States.

Just look at the details of the designs – amazing!

We had such a blast over the two days. Unfortunately we didn’t go on many rides as they’re aimed mainly at children over 5 and LO was so tired he slept most of the time after seeing the Mini Land area.

I hope you enjoyed your taste of Legoland. Happy weekend! 🙂

What is your earliest memory?

**update**
After replying to Cee and Joseph, I’ve just remembered an even earlier memory. I was 3 and a half and I was in the car with my dad parked outside Greenwich hospital waiting for my little sister being born. I just about remember asking why we were there and dad said mum was having a baby. That’s all that I remember. However the most vivid memory is the one below.

I think my earliest memory is when I was about four years old – it wasn’t a happy memory either as it was the time when my mum and dad split up. I still remember the day so vividly and the emotions that came with it.

Mum and dad were arguing then she opened the door and kicked him out. I remember dad saying to me “don’t worry, it’s okay” and I was crying so much. I can still hear mum in the background shouting “if you care so much about your dad then leave with him” – I did and never, ever looked back.

I resented my mum growing up but I’ve forgiven her for that day since I got older… However, I will never forget.

What was the last photo you took with your phone?

I always have my iPhone with me and so naturally, I’m always taking candid photos. The last photo I took was from our Sunday day out to Mycenae House in Blackheath.

Have you ever danced in the rain?

Yes of course! Who hasn’t?! Mind you, I only did it as a child. It’s on of my fondest memories of primary school. Half of the school was wet and raining, the other was dry and sunny. I danced in the rain for a minute or two before the teachers told me to get inside.

What is the longest you have gone without sleep?

Pulling those all-nighters to get that last-minute assignment finished for the morning. After this it would be those late night clubbing days. There was one time we partied until 6am, slept for 3 hours then went back out for another party. The stresses I put my body through back then!

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful for the lovely sunny intervals we’ve had weather-wise last week. I was able to take the kids out to the Blackheath Foodies Festival and the Mycenae House fun day.

This week coming up I’m looking forward to my mum and baby pilates class on Wednesday and friend’s birthday party on Saturday!

Music Mondays #39

In response to Katalogue’s Music Mondays #39

I came across Katalogue’s lovely weekly linky via The Daily Post’s blogging events page and boy am I glad to find it. is an ongoing Monday link-up of music that we’ve been listening to for the week or a song that’s been stuck in our heads.

For me, Lo has been driving me up the wall requesting for this song: Promiscuious by Nelly Furtado ft. Timbaland

We stumbled upon it when we were listening to music on Youtube and now he can’t get enough of it!

It is a catchy song to be honest. 🙂

Happy Music Mondays!

Q) What’s your most memorable (good or bad) airplane flight?

A) When I was about 12 years old, me and my sister went on our first holiday to Vietnam with our dad. I remember it was such a long flight (about 10hrs) but we were kept entertained with a viewing of My Big Fat Greek Wedding which had just come out in cinemas. It was so good.

Then as we flew over Thailand I remember experiencing the worse turbulence ever – we were having our in-flight meals and then turbulence hit and the food tray lifted up from the tray table. Very bumpy indeed. Continue reading “Share Your World 2016: Week 26”

Q) How many languages do you speak?

A) Two; English and Vietnamese which is my native mother tongue.

Q) What are some words that just make you smile?

A) Ummm… I think words like “smile”, “hello/hi”, “pretty please” and “thank you”

Q) If you were the original architect of one existing building, which building would you select?

A) It would have to be Gaudi’s Casa Batllo ‘House of Bones’ in Barcelona. It’s wonderfully weird, quirky and caught my attention as soon as I had laid eyes on it when I visited barcelona last year.

Q) Would you rather have telepathy or telekinesis? (Telepathy is the communication using your brain waves, telekinesis is channeling the energy onto physical objects to cause substantial, observable physical changes.)

A) I think telepathy because it would be cool to get into people’s minds.

Q) Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

A) Last week I managed to get a few more blog posts done so I am very thankful that the kids gave me a chance to do so. This week I am looking forward to the parent’s meeting at LO’s nursery to see how he’s getting on. 🙂
